Bernard
Edwards Project Homicide was formed in 1994. Edwards decided he
needed to do music the way he felt it
should be done. "I decided I was all done playing in other people's
bands. I wanted to do what I wanted and as long as I was in a
band with other guys having equal say so over musical direction,
I would never get to do this type of music". Edwards began the
journey of doing what it took to achieve the goal. "I went on
vacation from band stuff for a year or so, 93 part of 94. I got
the ideas and songs together and I started looking for a really
good guitarist. I ran into Eric Christensen whom I met through
a friend. We started writing and hanging out and I was enjoying
not being involved with a band. During this time Eric and I started
developing his guitar style and the songs that will eventually
appear on the debut CD. Christensen was new to the game so I had
to put my influence in his playing and song writing style, got
rid of the Ibanez and modernized Eric's sound. I wanted a big
fat Les Paul sound, plus I saw the band playing Gibson flying
'V's on stage in my mind so that was my first goal. We got the
songs together and I proceeded to audition the rest of the line-up.
Next up I got Mark Filbrandt on Lead Guitar and Gino Perrone on
Drums. Last was Tom Keske Jr. on Bass. Mark was recommended through
a buddy who was attending Music Tech. Gino was working @ the same
factory as me in Maple Grove so we hooked up, he had just moved
to Minnesota from a war torn lifestyle in Los Angeles. Tom, I
had known for years in Minneapolis and we had talked about doing
something for a few years earlier. That was the first line-up.
That line-up lasted about 8 months. We rehearsed 5 to 6 days a
week and I started seeing the flaws in the musicians. Gino was
just not getting the double bass drums so he was the first to
go. Mark was not showing up for rehearsals on a regular basis
so he was let go. Eric and Tom both came to the idea that they
were interested in forming a new band, so I said good riddance
and I went on by myself."

"A
few months later I found a new guitarist from Austin TX named
William Proctor. We started working on the songs. I gave him a
tape and I brought Mark back in as the Lead Guitarist. Bill learned
all the songs, Mark on the other hand had no idea what was going
on, he had forgot everything in regards to playing the songs,
I let him go for the second and final time. Proctor and myself
started auditioning for the new line-up. Enter Jerry Babcock on
Drums. Then Shawn Jensen for Lead Guitar. We started pre-production
of the demos. This studio experience opened my eyes to a lot.
Every problem you can have WE DID. It was one nightmare after
another. We finally STOPPED.

I
rebooked the band @ a real recording studio to prepare for the
recording of the debut CD. All this time we were still on the
lookout for a Bassist. Enter"Cousin It" just in time to start
recording. Tracking finished. Now we have a huge problem mixing
this down, this is where the real nightmares begin. Tape decks
eating tapes, computers locking up, CD's burned with pops and
other bizarre studio demons... I was @ the end of my rope, I never
thought we'd ever get this CD out. The Mask got damaged, the tape
deck ate the tape. We had made a safety copy luckily, that song
cost us a couple grand to fix. The computer kept coming up triple
6's and 13's every time we tried to mix it into the computer,
it was Satanic. I was so PISSED OFF I was ready to burn the world.
I never in my long history of being in a band ever experienced
such bullshit with studio demons. We finally got through it all
and I hope if you have the CD you appreciate what it took to get
this release in your hands. It took nearly five years to get this
recording out." "I thought getting on "The Coward Stern Show"
was a good way to promote the record, NOT. This guy is a total
asshole. All he does is rip up the recording and call me a washed
up loser. But now I'm on fire, nothing is going to stop me now.
Stay tuned people cause this is just the beginning of our story.
If you heard the show you have to admit, I really wasn't treated
fairly. So what who cares. Coward Stern can go to Hell and now
I know better."

"The
13 songs on this CD took five years to get right and get out to
you the metal fans. Oldschool lives and breathes in what we do.
Our style consists of oldschool metal, thrash and good old fashioned
rock n' roll. We are the FireBreathing BloodSpitting Flying 'V'
wielding GrindCore PowerGroove Army from Hell! We are on a mission.
We are the future. We will punish you at the altar of Metal."

"For
years I was ridiculed and laughed @ because of the face I wear
(aka: Father Heroin Traxx). Nothing anyone can say will change
that. This is my creation. Sure I'm obviously influenced by KISS
(Gene) and the King (Elvis) and the other, King (Diamond). If
you have negative remarks, shove them up your ass! Don't bother
telling us
about it, we're not interested in hearing it, I'm totally 100%
this band looks and sounds like no other. I have total faith and
the utmost confidence and respect for what we do. I respect real
metal and stand for oldschool metal and Death To False Metal (you
know who you are!). This is not some trendy bullshit you are going
to hear everyday on corporate radio or bullshit MTV. We worship
@ the Alter of Metal!" This ain't no cRap Metal!" Please
support the underground scene in your city.

"A
message to all the negative idiots who want to put us in certain
groups, fuck off. We belong to no
organizations, unions and or groups. We are only interested in
Metal and all it breeds. Don't misinterpret our existence."
"We
are going to TELL YOU THE TRUTH whether
you like it or not. Our lyrics may offend, that is your problem
not
ours, if you don't like what we sing about, don't listen or buy
our CD's. That is your choice. Please don't waste our time or
yours with accusations."
"As
for censors... a big fuck off to you!"

they represent this band or think that we are idiots like them,
this is to assure you we're professional musicians who live and
exist for the metal we play and produce, some views expressed
here may offend."
